Update: Titan

A buddy of mine suggested that I start blogging about my experiences (thanks, Ace!), so...

I just returned from San Francisco shooting my first scene for Titan and I had a blast.  It was my first trip flying Virgin America and I highly recommend it.  After I landed and retrieved my luggage, I called my contact at Titan who was to pick me up.  Since I had been awake since 3 am and wasn't looking my best, I started to describe what I was wearing so he could find me.  He interrupted me to say that a description wouldn't be necessary because I wouldn't have any trouble finding him.

He said "You'll see me coming before I get there.  I'm driving a company car."

Needless to say, I saw him 1/2 a mile away coming down the off-ramp.  My first thought was "Wow.  Subtle."  Then it occurred to me that this car was coming for ME!  Seriously.  Hot.  I was completely thrilled.  I threw open the side door and said with mock grandeur "You mean all these boys on the outside aren't inside?"  As I took my seat, I kept looking around to see if anyone noticed that I was being whisked away in the Titan Mobile.  Sadly, I garnered no attention.  Surely everyone was jealous.

The fabulousness of the vehicle was only a hint of things to come.  Everyone at Titan was incredible.  Brian Mills, Patrick O'Connor, director Paul Wilde, and the cast and crew were all a joy to work with.  Seriously.  In fact, I have been pleasantly surprised by everyone I've worked with since filming my first scene this past April.  Owen Hawk and Luis Salas at Dark Alley Media...the folks at Suite 703...Robert Drake, Christian Owen and the boys at Hot House...and the amazing Ray Dragon and Joe Gage have all shattered my preconceived notions about the industry.  I expected difficult working conditions and abusive personalities and, instead, have encountered genuinely good people and completely professional environments.  Everyone should work for these guys!

This trip to San Fran was also great because it gave me a chance to hang out with my buddy, Bo Matthews, as well.  After a lovely meal (at Harvey's, appropriately enough), he took me to see MILK at The Castro!  What an amazing experience seeing that film at that theater.  If you haven't seen it yet, go now!  Get on a Virgin and go to the Castro!  Tell them I sent you.  ;)

More to come...Titan has asked me back to shoot another scene next month!
